Your 'moon' shot looks good in Monochrome. You can see the look of surprise on Churchill's face. When Karsh was ready, he went over to Churchill, took the cigar out of his mouth and took the photo.
The first thing Karsh did was to get someone to take the glass off him - but Churchill refused to put his cigar down. There are two thing that Churchill liked: to have a glass of brandy in his hand and a big cigar in his mouth. ( Not sure if uploading this photo is permitted so here is a link to it) One that would IMHO be spoiled in colour is the one of Winston Churchill taken by Yousuf Karsh in 1941. There are some photo's that do look better in monochrome. My comment was that It would be nice to see contrasting fruit colours in the different jars. I liked the way the bottles were crossing. When I first start with a program I am not too concerned if I have the exact right image I am much more concerned with figuring out the software quickly. Tonality is a great BW program and I simply wanted to share it with others. Simply quickly picked this subject to mess around with in Tonality, mostly because I messed up with the lighting on the image and I wanted to see if BW would tone the lighting down, which it did. I really like this program and wanted to share it with other Mac users. Has some borders, limited, but you can import borders of your own. This is not a plug-in program but they have thought that out and it acts in a similar fashion. I opened a file from within Tonality that was on my hard drive and linked to Lightroom, edited it, saved it with a new name, said save to Lightroom and the edited file opened in the import dialog box of Lightroom where I could then save it back to its original folder. Very easy to learn if you already know programs like Photoshop or PS Elements or any other plug in program. Great program you can buy on the Mac app store called Tonality for Black and White conversion, a Macphun program.
